US Coating Solutions’ system for exterior wood restoration, wood protection and refinishing employs the next generation of high tech coating advances in order to provide exceptional durability that will not only last for 10 plus years, but provide a sustainable beautiful finish. The system contains proven UV protection and complete anti-microbial protection for the life of the coating to include mold/mildew/algae prevention. Saturant Prime contains our exclusive "Nano Cross-Linking System" that saturates into the wood and cross-links with the cellulose on a molecular level forming a tenacious bond with the cellulose in the wood that is permanent and cannot peel. It delivers stain very effectively or can be applied clear. Flex-Clear Urethane is the recommended topcoat providing a bullet proof finish in matte, gloss or satin. Flex-Clear Urethane cross-links with the Saturant Prime and the substrate to form a seamless bond that actually becomes part of the surface to which it is applied. It is highly UV resistant providing long term protection for the wood and the coating. Flex-Clear Urethane is used in commercial applications because it lasts for many years, is easily maintained, and provides a beautiful finish. It is now available for residential decks and docks (horizontal surfaces that are walked on).Saturant Prime Plus is the recommended solution for sealing railings. Saturant Prime Plus contains 33% urethane resins resulting in an excellent and very effective long term coating for decks, siding, fences or even outdoor wood furniture. Exterior water based stains will not hold up under severe weather conditions, without protection. Saturant Prime Plus is a long lasting coating for all exterior wood. We treat exterior wood decks, docks, etc.. like expensive hardwood flooring with added UV protection and exceptional durability and protection. Flex-Clear Urethane has been designed to provide superior performance where an advanced High Performance Coating is desired.

Permanent Deck Refinishing System

Saturant Prime and Flex-Clear Urethane prevents wood deterioration, provides a long term solution for wood protection and looks great for many years!!

Application is a three step process, each being as important as the other:

The first step is to clean the exterior wood with our Anti-Mold Soap. This will kill any mold/mildew/bacteria and restore the wood. Saturate the wood with Anti-Mold Soap and water, let it do its job, and then gently powerwash or brush it clean and rinse. In some cases it is necessary to sand the deck before application of Saturant Prime.
The second step is to apply Saturant Prime at the rate of 300 sq. ft/gal by lambs wool applicator, brush or roller. Saturant Prime saturates the surface of the wood and cross-links with the cellulose. It delivers stain into the wood fibers (if desired) very effectively. It creates a protective barrier in the substrate that is toxic to mold/mildew and prevents bug infestation while strengthening the wood. It also serves as an agent to draw Flex-Clear Urethane into the wood forming a seamless and permanent coating system.
The third step is to apply Flex-Clear Urethane in either gloss or matte at the rate of 400 sq. ft/gal with a 3/8" nap roller after the Saturant Prime is thoroughly dry (8 to 24 hours). Flex-Clear Urethane cross-links with the surface of the wood resulting in a seamless coating that is waterproof, mold and mildew resistant, UV resistant (will never yellow) and extremely durable and flexible. This system has a rich, gloss appearance enhancing the beauty of the wood while providing a finish that is considered a permanent, environmentally friendly coating that will qualify for Leeds credits. Flex-Clear Urethane is an Aliphatic Polyurethane that has been designed to provide superior performance over a wide range of applications where an advanced High Performance Coating is desired. Flex Clear Urethane is available in either a matte finish or gloss. You can add Grip Additive for additional non-slip properties.

Stains

Because nano resins encapsulate the stain pigments more efficiently, combined with our UV protection package, stain will hold color much longer. Stain pigments are saturated deeper into the wood fiber creating a more permanent cross-link that cannot peel or flake. This results in a beautiful finish that will not only last but look great for many years.
