US Coating Solutions’ system for exterior
wood restoration, wood protection and refinishing employs the next
generation of high tech coating advances in order to provide exceptional
durability that will not only last for 10 plus years, but provide
a sustainable beautiful finish. The system contains proven UV protection
and complete anti-microbial protection for the life of the coating
to include mold/mildew/algae prevention. CLP Saturant Prime contains
our exclusive "Nano Cross-Linking System" that saturates
into the wood and cross-links with the cellulose on a molecular
level forming a tenacious bond with the cellulose in the wood that
is permanent and cannot peel. It delivers a stain very effectively
or can be applied clear. CLP Flex-Clear Urethane is the recommended
topcoat providing a bullet proof finish in gloss or satin (with
the addition of glass beads) and with Shark Grip additive for non-slip.
CLP Flex-Clear Urethane cross-links with the CLP Saturant Prime
and the substrate to form a seamless bond that actually becomes
part of the surface to which it is applied. It is highly UV resistant
providing long term protection for the wood and the coating. CLP
Flex-Clear Urethane is used in commercial applications because it
lasts for many years, is easily maintained, and provides a beautiful
finish. It is now available for residential decks and docks (horizontal
surfaces that are walked on). CLP Multi-Seal is used as the topcoat
for railings, siding and fences (vertical surfaces that are not
walked on). CLP Ex-Coat is the recommended solution for railings
(with CLP Multi-Prime as the prime coat) for railings and fences
if paint is desired. We treat exterior wood decks, docks, etc..
like expensive hardwood flooring with added UV protection and exceptional
durability and protection. CLP Flex-Clear Urethane has been designed
to provide superior performance where an advanced High Performance
Coating is desired.
Permanent Deck Stain and Finishing System
CLP Saturant Prime and CLP Flex-Clear Urethane
prevents wood deterioration, provides a long term solutions for
wood protection and looks great for many years!!
Application of our system is a three-step process
- The first
step is to clean the exterior wood with our Anti-Mold Soap. This
will kill any mold/mildew/bacteria and restore the wood providing
an almost new look. Saturate the wood with Anti-Mold Soap and
water. Brush with a hard bristle broom brush to loosen and remediate
the mold/mildew/algae and dirt and rinse clean. You can also power-wash
the deck. Saturate with Anti-Mold Soap, then give it a few minutes
to absorb, and power-wash clean. If desired you can sand the deck
lightly before applying CLP Saturant Prime.
- The second step is to apply CLP Saturant Prime at the rate of
300 sq. ft/gal by lambs wool applicator, brush or roller. CLP
Saturant Prime saturates the surface of the wood and cross-links
with the cellulose. It delivers stain into the wood fibers (if
desired) very effectively. It creates a protective barrier in
the substrate that is toxic to mold/mildew and prevents bug infestation
while strengthening the wood. It also serves as an agent to draw
CLP Flex-Clear Urethane into the wood forming a seamless and permanent
coating.
- The third step is to apply CLP Flex-Clear Urethane at the rate
of 350 to 400 sq. ft/gal with a 3/8" nap roller. CLP Flex-Clear
Urethane cross-links with the surface of the wood resulting in
a continuous film that is water repellent, mold and mildew resistant,
UV resistant (will never yellow) and extremely durable. This system
has a rich, gloss appearance enhancing the beauty of the wood
while providing a finish that is considered a permanent, environmentally
friendly coating that will qualify for Leeds credits. CLP Flex-Clear
Urethane is an Aliphatic Polyurethane that has been designed to
provide superior performance over a wide range of applications
where an advanced High Performance Coating is desired. Flex Clear
Urethane is available with glass beads additive for a satin finish
and Shark Grip for additional non-slip properties.

Stains
Because nano resins encapsulate the stain pigments
more efficiently, combined with our UV protection package, stain
will hold color much longer. The stain pigments are saturated
deeper into the wood fiber creating a more permanent cross-link
that cannot peel or flake. This results in a beautiful finish
that will not only last but look great for many years.
