US Coating Solutions hardwood floor finishing system is a two step application process designed to provide a seamless coating that is extremely durable with a crystal clear finish. It is available in high gloss with options for a satin finish and non-slip. We offer only the best quality for all customers from normal residential applications to dance floors. We feel that it pays to use the best since application costs are the same for a lesser quality coating system. We save on costs with a two step application process instead of a three step process making this a very cost effective solution with long term benefits. CLP Flex-Clear Urethane is considered a permanent environmentally friendly coating that qualifies for Leeds credits.

Step 1: Apply CLP Saturating Prime

1. Sand the floor before application
2. Drill stir for one minute (there are polymers that have settled
3. Apply with roller, spray or lambs wool applicator at the rate of 300 sq. ft/gallon.
4. Allow to dry for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours and a maximum of 48 hours for prime to be absorbed before application of CLP Flex-Clear Urethane

   Properties: US Coating Solutions' CLP Saturating Prime is a saturating primer that penetrates the surface of cellulose materials is toxic to mold, mildew and bacteria and is environmentally safe and earth friendly. CLP Saturating Prime contains nano particles that penetrate the substrate and cross link with the substrate so it cannot peel and encapsulates and delivers stain very effectively to retain a rich stain. It serves as an agent to draw the sealant into the wood to cross-link with the prime coat and wood.

   Step 2: Apply CLP Flex-Clear Urethane

   1. Stir well (do not shake, do not allow air bubbles).
   2. Lightly sand the first coat with 120+ grit
   3. Apply at the rate of 350 to 400 sq. ft/gal. (If a second coat is desired or needed lightly sand the first coat with 120+ grit, clean and apply second coat at the rate of 400 sq. ft gal.)
   4. Allow to cure for 10 to 12 hours before walking on it.

    

   CLP Flex-Clear Urethane Properties: CLP Flex-Clear is a premium two-component Low VOC High Performance water reducible, non-yellowing polyurethane coating. It is a high gloss UV and chemical resistant, flexible urethane coating that can be used in Interior and Exterior applications. It is superior to many toxic solvent-based two-component urethanes.
   CHARACTERISTICS: CLP Flex-Clear has superior product characteristics and quality. The CLP Flex-Clear has excellent adhesion and flexibility. It is highly mar, abrasion, scrub and impact resistant. It has excellent hardness and chemical resistance properties. It is very durable, and will protect the substrates in severe conditions. The coating has demonstrated gloss and color retention that is better than SSPC standards under extended weathering testing. It has also shown good resistance to chalking and rusting in extended testing, including humidity and salt fog testing. It has good slip resistance, if used as a floor coating.    APPLICATIONS: CLP Flex-Clear is an Aliphatic Polyurethane that has been designed to provide superior performance over a wide range of applications where an advanced High Performance Coating is desired. It is ideally suited as topcoat where a high performance system is desired for hardwood flooring, as well as for industrial concrete floors. CLP Flex-Coat Urethane has virtually NO ODOR and Low VOC emissions. CLP Flex-Clear stands up to some of the harshest environments, while still maintaining its appearance and being a very earth friendly, high performance urethane coating.

   

   Stain

   Because nano resins encapsulate the stain pigments more efficiently, combined with our UV protection package, stain will hold color much longer. The stain pigments are saturated deeper into the wood fiber creating a more permanent cross-link that cannot peel or flake. This results in a beautiful finish that will not only last but look great for many years.
