Stain And Tint Formulas
Two Methods To Add Stain To Saturant Prime
- The first method is to purchase stain from US Coating Solutions
and add them to the Saturant Prime just before staining the deck,
dock etc. The prepackaged stain color additives come in 2 oz that
will tint one gallon and 6 oz for 5 gallons buckets. There are
9 colors to chose from in stock.
- The second method is to add the colorant yourself using standard
universal colorants used for tinting paint according to the tinting
formulas provided. There are 12 color choices to chose from. (Self
Tint Method).

Self Tint Method Colors

Note: Stain Colors may vary greatly from actual color due to the
internets ability to capture true color, transition from internet
to printer and different types of wood. US Coating Solutions does
not guarantee true color. A test area should always be done and
agreed upon before coating a large area.

US Coating Solutions' Saturant Prime is engineered to accept Universal
Colorants to achieve the above listed stain colors. You can now
purchase Saturant Prime in bulk and tint up what you need for a
particular project without waste. You can tint as little as a quart,
a single gallon to 5 gallons by following the formulas.
If you do not do your own tinting you can take the formula to your
local paint store for tinting. By giving them this formula your
stain should come out the same every time.
We recommend you always tint up a quart to get a sample of the
end results before attempting a large project. This will also give
you the ability to show your client a sample to have them sign off
on the color. You can now tint up a quart of each color and make
small samples of each color to show clients
